Qi Gong, is a whole body movement exercise, that literally means “Breath Work”

It is more than a moving meditation, but more of a mobilizing technique that works your joints and muscles to build eye, hand, and body coordination. It uses standing postures with adjusting movements that build stability and orientation to create awareness of the body in movement. 

The movements are gentle, simple and slow. One directs their mind, eye, and breath with the movements so that they can sense and build connection. These are great grounding exercises that help people center themselves and get in touch with their bodies. It also helps to relax the mind and settle with the breath. These exercises are great for all ages, and even better for those who are older. There have been studies that show that it helps with rehabilitation and even Parkinson’s. All that is required is an attention span and loose fitting clothing.
